WGTE Public Media to Stream WGTE HD Live on Major Streaming Services

WGTE HD is now live on YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, DIRECTV STREAM, and Local Now

TOLEDO, OHIO – August 14, 2024 – WGTE Public Media (WGTE) announced today that it is now live streaming on YouTube TV, DIRECTV STREAM, Hulu + Live TV and Local Now. Each streaming service’s audience will have access to WGTE’s main HD channel with local programming and national PBS and PBS KIDS programming. 

YouTube TV and Hulu + Live TV lead the live TV streaming platforms in subscribers with 6.5+ million and 4.6+ million respectively. A dedicated live channel for WGTE is available to all local DIRECTV STREAM customers, supplemented with additional PBS on-demand programming that will continue to expand PBS’s digital footprint and offer viewers additional ways to stream PBS content.  

Local Now provides localized news, weather, sports, traffic, and entertainment, produced by various leading news organizations, in more than 225 markets across the U.S. It offers more than 450 free-streaming channels, including a Local Now channel in every DMA in the country, as well as more than 18,000 movies, TV shows, and documentaries. The Local Now app is available on Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Xfinity, Vizio, Samsung, Android and IOS devices. (LocalNow.com)

YouTube TV, DIRECTV STREAM and Hulu + Live TV’s subscribers will now have access to inspiring and educational content from WGTE like “Toledo Stories” and “To The Point with Doni Miller” along with PBS favorites including PBS NewsHour, FRONTLINE, Antiques Roadshow, and WGTE PBS KIDS channel.

Audiences can stream WGTE HD on all platforms beginning today. In addition to these streaming platforms, WGTE HD is available for viewing via broadcast TV, cable, online at wgte.org and pbs.org, and through the WGTE and PBS apps.
