TOLEDO, OHIO – August 14, 2024 – WGTE Public Media (WGTE) announced today that it is now live streaming on YouTube TV, DIRECTV STREAM, Hulu + Live TV and Local Now. Each streaming service’s audience will have access to WGTE’s main HD channel with local programming and national PBS and PBS KIDS programming.
YouTube TV and Hulu + Live TV lead the live TV streaming platforms in subscribers with 6.5+ million and 4.6+ million respectively. A dedicated live channel for WGTE is available to all local DIRECTV STREAM customers, supplemented with additional PBS on-demand programming that will continue to expand PBS’s digital footprint and offer viewers additional ways to stream PBS content.
Local Now provides localized news, weather, sports, traffic, and entertainment, produced by various leading news organizations, in more than 225 markets across the U.S. It offers more than 450 free-streaming channels, including a Local Now channel in every DMA in the country, as well as more than 18,000 movies, TV shows, and documentaries.
