WGTE PUBLIC MEDIA PRESIDENT AND CEO MARLON KISER ANNOUNCES INTENTION TO RETIRE

TOLEDO, OHIO – November 26, 2024 – WGTE Public Media (WGTE) today announced that its fourth and longest serving station executive, President and CEO Marlon P. Kiser, has informed the Board of Directors and WGTE staff of his intention to retire from the organization effective March 28, 2025. TOLEDO, OHIO – November 13, 2024 – WGTE Public Media’s “Rethinking Jails + Justice”, in collaboration with The Board of Lucas County Commissioners and the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation Safety + Justice Challenge, is set to launch the last phase of the project on November 14. TOLEDO, OHIO – August 29, 2024 – WGTE Public Media’s “Rethinking Jails + Justice”, in collaboration with The Board of Lucas County Commissioners and the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation Safety + Justice Challenge, is set to launch the latest phase of the project on Tuesday, September 3. This 10-episode podcast series hosted by Jason Hibbs explores the past, present and future state of Lucas County’s criminal justice reform. TOLEDO, OHIO – August 14, 2024 – WGTE Public Media (WGTE) announced today that it is now live streaming on YouTube TV, DIRECTV STREAM, Hulu + Live TV and Local Now. Each streaming service’s audience will have access to WGTE’s main HD channel with local programming and national PBS and PBS KIDS programming.  YouTube TV and Hulu + Live TV lead the live TV streaming platforms in subscribers with 6.5+ million and 4.6+ million respectively.
