I’m Wendy Gericke. Growing up in Toledo and later settling in Archbold, Ohio, I developed a deep appreciation for tight-knit communities and the importance of supporting local endeavors. This upbringing instilled in me a love for small businesses, which eventually led me to become the proud co-owner of Hip To The Groove Boutique in downtown Sylvania. With five children of my own, two of whom have followed their entrepreneurial spirit, and four grandkids, family is at the core of everything I do. It's this sense of kinship that fuels my commitment to community, whether it's through running my boutique or coordinating fundraisers for CHP Home Care and Hospice. I'm passionate about championing local artists and craftsmen, and my boutique serves as a platform to showcase their talent. Supporting small businesses isn't just a passion of mine; it's a way of life. And when I'm not busy at the boutique or with family, you'll often find me immersed in the vibrant local music scene, enjoying the soulful rhythms that bring our community together.
Hey there, I'm Lori Colenzo, a woman who's passionate about music, community, family, and helping others. Originally from upstate New York , I’ve made Northwest Ohio my home for the past 33 years. With a background in music that spans decades, I've always found joy in performing and making people smile. Rocking the Toledo music scene with my amazing partner, Gary! We jam together in two local bands, and my two music-loving children Isabella (Ella Cole) & Joey are following in our footsteps. You can catch any of us grooving at local venues – family truly is music to my ears! Aside from my musical journey, I work as a Financial Advisor Assistant for Varsity Wealth Management and I'm also a co-owner of Hip To The Groove Boutique, where we celebrate local craftsmanship and creativity. I find the most rewarding part of my work is connecting with clients and customers on a personal level.
So excited to pursue this new journey with all of you.
