55 sophomore students in Youth Leadership Toledo came to WGTE Public Media to learn more about public media and apply their leadership skills. Groups of 8-10 students were divided into 3 separate groups TV, audio, and digital marketing. These groups were determined based on interest and each group collaboratively created content that showcased the values of YLT.
Students in the TV groups worked with our production staff to create a short video that showcases the four pillars of Youth Leadership Toledo and what leadership means to them. The students collaboratively made the video beginning from storyboarding and script writing to filming and editing.
Students in the TV groups worked with Caleb Johnson on our production team to create a short video that covers the four main pillars of YLT. The students worked collaboratively to produce a storyboard, script, film and edit a video that centers the goals of YLT.
Students in the audio groups worked with our FM 91 staff to create a 60-second promo that showcases Youth Leadership Toledo. The students worked collaboratively to write the script, record the audio and edit the promo with the guidance of FM 91 hosts Brad Cresswell and Logan Cooney.
Students in the digital marketing groups worked with our marketing team to create a marketing plan showcases the four pillars of Youth Leadership Toledo and advertises the TV and audio group's projects. The students collaboratively made a content calendar, a marketing outline and a social media video.
